The only collar I use

People get out of shape when they hear 'choke collar' but it's human unless you choose to be evil , what would you do without this collar anyway. I adopted a feral street dog from Malaysia who was bought when he was 6 months old. Although I've had dogs my whole life I wasn't sure what I was getting myself into so I immediately bought a set of Cesar Milan training DVDs. The most helpful tip I learned was how to walk your dog without flinching. They put the collar up around his neck, which would not hold up without such a collar (of course, Cesar advertises his special collar, which I find too clumsy and just useless). Just pull a little to the side, if the dog starts to pull, it will upset its balance and stop it. Maybe I was lucky and all dogs aren't that easy, but my dog learned not to pull in a couple of days. I could not have been successful without this collar style. I found the original collar in Malaysia and when it wore out I went back to the US and couldn't find a replacement in any store. They had chain collars - they're not the same and I wouldn't use either. It's soft nylon and I was so glad I found it online! My dog Simeon has many collars, even a nice one that I made to order, but they are all in the basket and I only use this one. stays outside alone.
