It's smooth and worked great!
I actually bought this hinge mechanism as a cheap solution to an HD overhead projector falling off. I attached the hinges to the projector platform I built and installed the whole thing between the ceiling joists. If I don't want to watch movies on the big screen, everything goes to the ceiling. It's smooth and worked great!
Pros
- The kit includes 2 hinges with 2 gas hydraulic actuators - enough for a coffee table (or whatever you want to use it for). Screws are not included (you can use bolts, mounting screws, wood screws or whatever you deem necessary for your particular application). Project). Instructions are not included.
Cons
- A dubious purchase for the elderly
