This is a high performing battery pack for its size. I needed a high wattage battery to replace a lead-acid battery in a portable searchlight. The previous battery was rated at 9Ah but was very heavy and the shelf life was awful. They needed replacing every 2-3 years. This is the first 12 volt Lithium ion battery pack I had come across with sufficient wattage to try. First it weighs less than half the lead-acid and is more compact. Second, the lead acid powered the light for about 20 minutes before flashing a low voltage signal. This pack ran it for 35 minutes before I decided to call it quits because the lamp itself became uncomfortably warm.I used an ammeter to determine the current draw, and at startup (it is an HID) drew over 50 amps peak for a fraction of a second and then 8 amps thru a 5 second warm up phase and then 5 amps continuously for the next 35 minutes. So thats a 60 watt draw and the whole pack barely got warm. The lamp housing itself became much warmer than the battery.Impressive capacity, and when I shut it off, there were still 2 lights out of 4 on the capacity meter. It is rated at 72 watts and it handled 60 without a hitch.I will report back if the unit does not last, but I have had for a few months so far.
