Ideal solution for repairing old speakers

Vintage 1980's Realistic speakers were broken and stored for 20 years. Purchased shock absorbers arrived today. I measured the speaker diameter and ordered the next size LARGE. I cut out a larger rubber damper and overlap it. Use Weldwood Contact Adhesive applied to the speaker cone, rubber bumper edges and speaker frame. You must use the contact cement in a ventilated area (outdoors or in a garage). I used my 3M respirator. Allow the contact putty to dry for 15 minutes (less than 1 hour) and GENTLY press the coated surfaces together, first the speaker frame (overlap if necessary), then lift the cone against the contact damper and press the double coated edges together. It took an hour to fix what had been broken for years. Don't hesitate, order this product and repair your speakers.
