Works exactly as intended. I'm a geologist and often have to use a handheld lens when hitting ground. The magnification is ideal for those who want to see grain and/or structure. It also has a small metal loop that can be attached to a string (I don't know how to spell it) and worn around the neck. The screws are nice and tight, don't open by themselves and overall the product is a good weight. It's not heavy in the hand, but the quality is noticeable. I recommend it to any geologist or geology student.
