We needed some "wicked witch legs” with striped stockings to poke out of an evergreen for a Halloween party. We got the idea at the U of I Botanic Garden. (See photo) They also placed the witch’s hat on top of the bush. Walmart had pre-fab Halloween witch legs, but they were way too tiny. They looked like 12 inch doll legs. So we decided to make our own. These stockings worked perfectly. Stockings are Tall, fairly thick, stretchy, and green is a nice neon! We stuffed the toes of the socks and then used 2 tall water bottles in each leg, putting the bottoms of the bottles together. Boots and hat were purchased from the thrift store.
