I love it! on Electronics & Gadgets

I got it to work using the built in Bontrager Duotrap S cadence and speed sensors. I was tired of putting my phone on the steering wheel just to see my speed and it ticked all the boxes. I also bought a separate front mount because it looks so much better than mounting directly to the handlebars. So far it works great. In addition to my speed, distance and cadence, it also shows the temperature, the time and the percentage of incline you are riding. This information is displayed as current, maximum and average - you can choose on the fly. Also, of course, it saves a map of where you drove, but you can't see the map on the device. All of this is stored in a standard *.fit file (if you start recording at the beginning of your trip) which can be uploaded to sites like Strava where all the data, including a map of your trip, is available for analysis. I'm also considering buying a $38 heart rate monitor. This is also saved in a .fit file and displayed on Strava. If you don't initiate a recording on the device, it acts as a simple instrument cluster. It displays all data while driving, but there is no data for later analysis. There are two ways to sync with Strava. You can connect it to your computer via USB (which you still have to do from time to time to charge it). When you do this, it will show up as a USB drive with files on it. You can then manually upload the files to the Strava website. (The Strava website has an activity upload feature.) Another option is to connect your device to your phone via Bluetooth. To do this, you need to install the iGSport application. You then force the app to sync the files to your phone, and then the app on your phone will automatically upload the files to Strava. This can be a more convenient way to upload your rides for analysis, except that the app has to go through the search/connection process each time. Single. Time. So it's clumsy and a little silly, but then again, the device keeps files for many days, so you don't have to do this that often. I would say it doesn't matter much. But I hope that iGPSport will make your iPhone app a little smarter. In terms of build quality, the device feels very solid and professional. I have no doubt that the claimed water resistance is true. Since the price is much lower than the well-known brands, you can expect to get something toy or cheap. It is not. The thing lies perfectly in the hand. The view is also excellent. I drive with glasses and it's hard to read next to me with glasses. But I have no problem reading that. In the end I am very satisfied. I wasn't sure because there are few reviews and very few English videos on Youtube. I can tell you this is the real deal, not cheap disposable junk, and I'm pretty sure you'll be happy with it as long as you have ANT+ sensors on this thing. Feel free to ask any questions and I will answer when I can. Edit #2: Subtracting a star because the device froze 2.5 miles from my commute to work this morning. That makes the thing dead. Worse than useless. If the frost lasts, I'll be back. But I hope it was only once. Edit #3 I'm wearing that star again. What happened then never happened again. I've already driven 500 km with it. I like how it detects when it's dark outside and automatically turns on a discreet but functional backlight. At the moment I do not regret at all that I did not buy a more expensive branded model. The thing works great. He's always picking up my sensors. speed, cadence and heart rate. The thermometer seems accurate enough and it's great to have this data on the go. I don't have any power meters but I have no doubt they will work fine. It's one of those rare things where I've gone the inexpensive route and don't regret for a second. Edit #4. YOU HAVE FIXED THE APP! The app (on iPhone at least - I don't have Android) now makes sense and syncs with ease. Big update, go IGPSport!
