1. The gadget does not extend the range of the networks that are already in place; instead, it generates two new networks. In this scenario, the repeater is installed on the channel of the primary router, which can be either 5 or 2.4 GHz (depending on the user's preference), and then, for some reason, it begins to disseminate both 5 and 2.4 GHz channels. 2. Despite being only one meter away from the router, the repeater is able to lose connection to the Wi-Fi network multiple times every day. In spite of the fact that it has lost the signal, the repeater will continue to distribute the network and may go hours without attempting to reestablish connectivity with the router. 3. The various D-Link software for IOs has extremely limited functionality and administrative choices, and I highly doubt that Android is a better solution. Providing it even works at all. For instance, the D-link Wi-Fi software is unable to detect even a single connected device. In most cases, you will need to do actions in an archaic manner by using a browser and various IP gadgets. As a consequence of this, I would not advise buying this piece of equipment under any circumstances.
