These screws definitely stopped our old 1930's wood floor from creaking. You'll have to poke quite a bit in to stop this, but it's fairly easy to cover up the holes with wood putty. The big problem I have is with the tool you use to break off the top of the screw. That never worked for me. And when I use the handpiece I leave big scratches on my floor. I resorted to using pliers and it helped. All in all I think it's a good idea. The plastic pry tool needs to be reconsidered or at least made to work consistently.
