Review on 🔧 OWC Hard Drive Installation Kit for Lower Drive Bay of 2011-2012 Mac Mini by Mark Hanson

I was looking for an SSD install kit to install a second hard drive in my Mac Mini and this was the perfect solution for me! The instructions in the guide are very simple to help you take apart and put back together your Mac mini. As a former Apple tech, I highly recommend ALWAYS reading on before attempting this. Make sure you read all of these instructions carefully and make sure you have all the necessary tools BEFORE attempting this! I would also make sure you have an anti-static wrist strap on your wrist when attempting this repair. You don't want huge pits and holes in the chips and logic board due to static electricity. This is very real and can definitely happen and your Mini will never turn on again. So be warned before attempting this, watch some YouTube videos or talk to your tech friends who are constantly doing repairs. You don't want something fun and easy to turn into a nightmare for you. Make sure you have the correct Torx tools and Motherboard Removal Tool for Mac Mini 2011 and newer to complete this repair. I would recommend a black wand or equivalent ESD protected plastic tool to remove wires and help you while in the car. In addition, a very necessary tool for high-quality repairs. Also please note that this kit does NOT include the tools needed for this repair! I read reviews before rating this type of kits low because the tools were not included. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY! I would recommend getting a Crucial, Newegg or TigerDirect SATA SSD for the best prices except here at Revain. They have the best Mac Mini SSD prices I've found. I used this kit to mount my SSD in it and install Mac OS on it so the Mini boots from the SSD and I used the standard drive that came with the Mini for storage and file server. As long as you have the right tools and research the information ahead of time before installing an SSD in your mini PC with this kit, it will make a great addition to your Mac Mini!
