So here's the thing, very good tool, looks well made, only problem is that you can't get to it because of cylinder #2 - around the corner and positioned like the intake manifold is. Since I swapped out the wires anyway, I ended up just pulling the wire by hand to remove it, or of course you don't want to do this with connector wires you intend to reuse. So there is another tool that is sold with a curved shank, I assume it will go around the intake manifold and work much better. I went with this one because it looked more reliable in terms of build quality and was said to be compatible with my machine. Be careful when ordering, there could be a better product (and don't waste your time going to VW to buy a tool they don't sell). It's for the public because they don't want you to do your work and save $$$$$. If you can't get the instrument, you need to contact them for repair. All in all I did a complete setup for $90 including $20 for the tool, VW charges at least 2-300 for this work.)
