I bought this bottle for the same reason many think: public water at work or school is a bit tasteless. Luckily, as most other reviewers have said, the filter does just that, making unfiltered tap water a little tastier with less chemical aftertaste. Unfortunately, I've also encountered the same problems as many others. The bottle is not fully sealed as advertised, especially when tipped to one side or the other. I also had an issue with noise feedback when drinking through a straw, and it became uninteresting to look at co-workers, causing them to hear a high-pitched squeal every time I wanted a sip of water. This was the main drawback of the product. Physically, the bottle is also somewhat uncomfortable. While it looks good, the bottom of the bottle is elongated, which prevents it from fitting in many cup holders. The opening of the bottle is also surprisingly small compared to the rest, which can make a simple task like adding ice cumbersome. Overall this is a good bottle but the negatives don't seem to worth the positives. In the end I decided to deal with the "bad" tasting water instead of bugging the 20 people sitting next to me.
