I ended up with an extra bulb for the HVAC lighting but it works amazingly well, it stays in place and best of all it didn't burn out! a while. I tried using the original porter bulbs and as with the original bulbs, the plastic melted concave enough that it lost connection or burned out. the annoying thing was the bulb assembly on the speedometer, every time i had to adjust the connection on the side of the bulb and even managed to get one completely out of the plastic housing. However, nothing was damaged and I was able to reassemble the bulb and verify that it still works. I don't think a blown bulb warrants a lower rating as it's easily fixed, but I would like the seller to make a note of this for future customers. I am very happy with the headlights and will probably return for the interior lighting on my 2002 Volkswagen Jetta.
