Old in front and new installed. I just installed it so unsure of the durability but appears to be similar to the manufactured part. Previous review was correct, thread screws prior to putting the first one in. If you do this step first and press the console forward, then it is an easy install. I'm unsure if this replacement part is leather but it's virtually impossible to tell the difference outside of it not being quite as smooth - no detraction from product quality. This is a fantastic piece and I'm still amazed how long I lived with the torn one prior to replacing. Just replace it with this asap!
