Review on 33 5090 Replacement Air Filter by Mario Beats

Revainrating 5 out of 5

High performance reusable air filter for your car.

Available I have been using K&N filters for over 10 years. They are affordable and offer good value for money, especially if you are interested in performance and ease of use. They're easy to clean and reuse, and the recharge kit costs less than $20 but will last for many uses. For example, I'm going to buy one for another car we just bought and it will cost $55. I will already be using the reload kit I have (degreaser/cleaner plus filter media lube kit). If you don't already have one, add $15 to your spending. That's $70 before taxes. An oil change from a quick service store to a regular filter will likely cost you $15-$20. 3.5 to 5 filters and you've already reached your breakeven price. This ranges from 15,000 to 25,000 miles when used with 3,000 or 5,000 (4,000 miles average) between filter changes. You will drive your car an average of 75,000 or more over 5 years for most people with moderate daily commutes. I recommend installing a K&N filter from the very first oil change on a new car to maximize your savings. Your only residual value thereafter is a new reload kit every 6-8 reloads. Performance seems to be improved, but mostly because I clear my filters frequently. I personally don't notice the expected increase in performance as I don't have high performance cars.
