I bought a pair of these for my son to wear for a series of fall hikes and camping trips we had planned. I really like the construction and rugged outsole. They did a great job on the trail. That said, I had to modify them to even be wearable.Not sure about the bigger kid sizes, but the toddler size shoes come with elastic laces. We had a tough time just getting them onto my son's feet. Eventually I cut those laces out and replaced them with some normal laces I cut down to size. With normal laces they work much better.
