Review on Stay Afloat And Safe: WACOOL Inflatable Scuba Vest For Adventurous Swimmers! by Curtis Castillo

Attractive looking but dangerously defective

I purchased Neon-Green for me and Sky Blue color for my bf, both in adult sizes. Both colors are vibrant and highly visible. However, the "Neon-Green" is Neon-Yellow, which is slightly disappointing. The Sky-Blue one that is, in fact, turquoise color. They arrived in a mesh carry pouch. They are much more attractive than vests that they give you for free on the snorkel tours. Now the bad part. I probably should have tested this out before I went snorkeling in the open ocean but I did not. I inflated my vest for the first time right before I jumped into the water and as soon as I was in the ocean I started hearing the vest quickly deflating through the plastic valve that was clearly defective. Thankfully, I am a pretty good swimmer and did not really need this vest but still, this should not have happened. The vests itself appear fine but the plastic valve that you use to inflate it is made of very low-quality materials and with no quality control. Although the other (yellow) vest that we got seems to work, I am afraid now to use it and will look to buy locally an USA-made vest. Should not be saving money on safety.Edit: The seller keeps emailing me from various emails and offers to pay me to change my review. I am truly sorry, if this affects the business and I would be considerate in any other case but this is a serious safety issue and I would have nightmares that someone have drown in this vest. I shop on Best Buy for everything myself and feel obligated to make it a safe place for everyone to shop.
