I recently installed this under the upstairs cabinet lighting in my brand new kitchen. The whole area has been recently renovated. They installed new floors, cabinets, countertops and all that. I found this light to be easy to set up and works very well for them. It's manually controlled, so if you want to turn the light on and off, just hold your hand close to the sensor and it will turn on and off. If you hold your hand there, the light can get brighter or dimmer. I think this is a great option for her. You can turn it on as needed or leave it low and use it as a night light. One day when we renovate our kitchen I will definitely buy more of these.
