If your AC is slow to shut down or takes longer to cool down, that's 8/10 times your problem. My Jetta always took about 3-5 minutes to start cooling down and then it just stopped working. Freon readings were fine and even did a full pump down, vacuum and charge to ensure there were no leaks and the freon reading was correct. Installation of this part takes 10 minutes (AFTER the freon is removed from the system). Take it to someone who can create a vacuum and remove any trapped air. (Don't try to just add freon after you've pressurized the system.) Now the air conditioner kicks on instantly, blowing a constant 41-45 degrees out of the vents, even at 98 degrees outside in a traffic jam.
