I have been using this product for almost 5 years with no problems. You need to change the batteries in both the transmitter and receiver about twice a year. I reset the usage to match my utility meter chart and it's accurate to within a dollar or two. That's because I don't always know exactly when the meter will arrive. Living in Southeast Texas, it's important to know what my electric bill will be! With air conditioning and an above ground pool, the power consumption is quite high. Using this meter and adjusting my usage has helped bring my score down to a point where non-pool neighbors have higher bills than me. Unfortunately the device will be discontinued in a few months as there are smart meters in the Houston area when I start using a newer IHD device (in the home display) that does the same thing but generates smart meters. Highly recommend Power Cost Monitor if you are serious about saving money!
