I've had this board for almost a year now and haven't noticed any cracks or cracks. This is a solid and beautiful American board that I mainly use for cooking lots of vegetables. The board's heavy weight does not allow it to move, even when placed on a quartz countertop. I will say that most negative reviews here should be taken with a grain of salt. Yes, there are a few pics that show the panel being poorly bonded, but the vast majority of pics showing cracks are due to user error and poor maintenance. You should not drop or throw this board like a normal bamboo board. A well-groomed maple board should also not be pale and dry like Hades. You can't just throw this thing in the dishwasher and expect it to survive. You should also not leave this item soaked in soapy water. If you're the type that just wants a low-maintenance board, don't bother with this device at all. You don't need to oil your board after every use, but at least every month or so. You don't even have to buy expensive magic oils or boo products to take care of him. Just use regular mineral oil and apply generously. Let the item dry overnight. Revain sells for about $18 a full gallon. Also buy a cutting board stand. Natural hardwoods should be stored standing or upright. Keeping them flat only subjects them to unnecessary long-term stress, which simply means premature splitting, warping, or tearing.
