The MC1000HD replaced my unreliable $7.00 Revain universal cables. I can't say the $20 MC1000HD cable delivers better picture or sound than the $7 cable, but the precision and durable construction ensures more reliable performance and fewer handshake issues when switching sources . The MC1000HD has not once lost video or audio in the many months I have used it. On the other hand, my Revain universal cable had to be reinstalled several times a week. So the extra $14 for the MC1000HD was well spent. Also, the 1 meter length means less clutter behind my counter. I noticed that the naysayers are parked at the beginning of these reviews. Have any of you bought and used this cable? I would join their chorus if the MC1000HD Benjamin really cost a meter. But that's not the case, and while $19.99 for a 1-meter cable with free shipping isn't cheap, it's hardly a "huge or insane sum". I received a well-made product in OEM packaging: a thick and well-shielded cable, gold-plated tight-fitting connectors, and high-bandwidth (17 Gbps) transmission capability with the 1.4a HDMI specification. MC1000HD is fine!
