All you need to know Weber Q 1200

First I'm just going to get to the bottom of what you want to know. Yes, it fits the Weber Q 1200 like a glove. No, you can't use the small 1-pound camping bottles as is. Yes you can cut off the side of the plate to make room for 1 pound bottles if you wish. For example, if you want to connect your RV's external quick connect with an air hose connector, you will need to remove the grid adjuster and return to the quick connect hose connector with the brass connector. Or buy a hose kit with fittings and everything already attached. You can also keep your grill regulator and buy a hose that connects to 20-pound or larger bottles. Definitely back to the tray. It's not flimsy, cheap metal that will sag under the weight of your grill. This is a fairly heavy tray, weighing around 10 pounds and would require over 60 pounds to fold. I bet it will hold over 200 pounds. I'll let you know when I get around to it. Lol all jokes aside, I'm building a DIY project. A pull out outdoor kitchen on rails slides in and out from under my RV's outdoor storage boxes. I needed something for my grill to sit on. The reason is the head height difference. The Weber 1200 is 15.5 inches tall. My RV's bunk bed drawers are only 17.5 inches tall. So. I needed something thin but strong enough to hold my grill. This will work fine. I'm taking off a star because the base plate isn't aligned properly and the rubber mallet can't do it. Or my sledgehammer if she wants to hurt. Rschunimagu
