Review on Vilros 2.4GHz Keyboard and Touchpad Hub for Raspberry Pi: Create a Compact Desktop Experience by Lyon Forrest

Not for most people

I'll start by talking about a good way I can think of to do this. If you have a raspberry pi 4 as a server for something in your house (maybe a home media server, or if you are a software developer and want to run a mySQL database locally on the raspberry pi) and you normally connect via SSH to Your pi , but from time to time you may need direct access without installing peripherals. That's about the only good use I can think of for it. If you think so, then it's not a bad buy, although I'd strongly recommend getting a Raspberry Pi 400 instead. As for me, I was skeptical that the Raspberry Pi 400 only has four gigabytes of RAM, but now I know four gigabytes. The ones you get with the Raspberry Pi 400 are designed so efficiently that you won't notice the difference. it should be enough, but I would call it uncomfortable to use. The first thing you need to know is that it seems to be of very poor quality and I damaged the plastic when removing screws, screws that are also incredibly easy to remove and there are too many of them. Once you have your Raspberry Pi installed, good luck figuring out how to tuck the cables inside the keyboard. As far as I can tell, this is only an option if you don't mind unscrewing all the screws every time you want to use it, or blindly plugging cables into the case that you'll have to fish out later when you do it. I do not want. take it apart every time. The keyboard seems to be of very poor quality, the trackpad is almost unusable. The worst thing is how bulky this thing is. Once you get inside, you realize that most of the crowd is completely unnecessary. It's like they've tried to recreate the aesthetic of an old Commodore 64 or Apple 2 system, but completely missed the mark.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Useless features
