A liner in running shorts needs to be comfortable and smooth- lots of motion happening and the liner’s job is to smoothly support in a high activity & sweaty situation. Unfortunately this short has an overlock stitch on the edge of the liner and is a bit uncomfortable fairly quickly with threads creating an uneven surface on the side that faces your skin. I checked my other running shorts and those all had a smooth finish at least on the inside. This irritates my skin after a couple miles. I can feel the roughness with my finger quite easily. I’m sure for some people it might not be an issue but I can’t wear them and I have to suggest a different brand. Seems overall okay otherwise- decent construction, fits okay, etc
