So far so good. Looks like they may have sent me a fork that was previously returned as there were a few nicks on it and a crown race may have been put on and removed. After some delay waiting for parts, tools and time, I finally got it installed and it was pretty nice on my first ride. Nothing technical but it was smooth and responsive over bumps and small erosion humps. Looking forward to trying some single track to see how it takes the roots and rougher terrain on our trails. I don't take any serious jumps and try to keep my wheels on the ground. It replaced an old FOX Talas that could not be repaired. The bottom of the fork is a little tight and needs a little spreading to get the wheel in place. Brake assembly fit just like on the FOX Talas. I ordered the 27.5 even though I have 26in wheels because my old fork had 140mm of travel. Geometry if fine. I hope it holds up over time and keeps this otherwise great bike going for my son. Now I get to shop for a new bike.
