I wanted a cheap toaster that wouldn't burn you. OK, I'm stupid. Pro: It stays cool outside. I have never burned myself. They do. Nice clean design and easy to clean. Cons: The lever is a little touchy, you have to apply pressure at just the right angle or it won't click. I expected it to last a year. It's not like this. Internal elements failed within the first month. I mostly toast bagels, so it's ok if they're only toasted on one side. For the past week I've had to increase the toast level almost daily. Apparently the external elements are now failing. Conclusion: The toaster turned out to be not cheap at all, but rather expensive. I've had it for less than 16 weeks, use it once a day. About 14 cents for one use and I'm looking for a new one before it dies completely. If the manufacturer had used a slightly higher quality element wire, this would have made a great toaster.
