Although I don't use this bag to carry my stuff, I like having it in my car to store spare water bottles. However, if I pull out one of these bottles to drink on the go, the entire holder and the remaining three full bottles are much more likely to fall off during the ride, no matter which of the four bottles I use. It can even tip over if two full bottles are evenly spaced. It's okay as in my case the bottles are new and sealed. However, in my opinion it might not be the best holder for less dense items like the mugs you get on your coffee run.
