Fixed: I changed my mind after some use. I now find these buckles acceptable and even superior to the military style metal roller buckles. But apparently these non-metal buckles are only available in black. I recommend these straps and buckles. I did not receive anything for changing my rating. Original and confiscated: the only complaint about the buckle. It's hard to open and hard to close. If the strap is slightly misaligned, the buckle will not close. It is necessary to tinker with it, straightening the belt so that it passes under the buckle. A whole lot of trouble. The opening can break nails. All of this is so easy when you have it on your lap, but when you wear it it's just a problem. I do not recommend this buckle style. Get the standard military style with the scooter.
