puzzle difficulty level is quite good for a young child to a teenager. Easy to learn, beginner puzzles are very simple, good for little kids. Expert puzzles are much more difficult and work well for patient teenagers and the elderly. The quality of the puzzle and the details (except for the color) are excellent. Shiny, thick, magnetic parts hold very well (great for travel). A fun puzzle game, but with one big caveat: if you're color blind, you'll hate it. If you are color blind it is almost impossible to play. I have a husband and son with various types of color blindness and they really struggled with diamond and iron colors, both the parts and the tips. In order to make the puzzle useful for my family, I had to go through all the diamond and iron pieces, the gold pickaxe, and apply different nail polish markers. Diamond and Iron in general, with the exception of Swords, cannot use hints unless the Iron and Diamond boxes are next to each other. but inconsistent. At least you can get to the point where you think all the clues match and you've solved the puzzle until the person seeing the colors pops your bubble. That's too much for a younger child. A very significant proportion of people with the XY chromosome on our planet are color blind. I wish this was a more important consideration these days.
