I bought this to replace coiled shocks on a Yukon (1/2 ton) and the bolts were bent before the spring even moved. I studied them carefully. Hoping to find something in that style that fits the bill, someone said they used it on a Ford truck, so I hoped it wasn't bones. I had to ask the dealer to compress them and replace the shocks. I am convinced that to service this type of spring you only need a compressor for a few hundred dollars, which is not available for DIY. I'm sure it will work great on a car or something with very weak springs though, the overall quality is there just not the power
