Review on 📺 Sony BDP-S6700: Experience 4K Upscaling & 3D Streaming with this Home Theater Blu-Ray Disc Player (Black) by Shawn Trotter

Considering it's a Sony it's fast with excellent video and audio quality for BluRay and DVD so I'll save that for other reviews. Here I will talk about additional features that are important in my home. A simple device for everyone in the house to learn, rather than switching between devices and learning different controls, is a useful place to start. The interface is simple and easy to set up with streaming services and NAS connectivity I want to watch. It's a little annoying that the left 1/3 of the screen is Sony's "Featured Apps" and can't be deleted, but I'll live with that. Playing different file types from my NAS (or home PC) is important to me. My SiliconDust HDHomeRun DVR records live TV (original MPEG-TS format in .mpg for full original quality), kids videos are streamed from various original formats in .mkv and music is streamed in FLAC. All of these formats are common but rarely supported on the same device. Success in every way for this player! As a frustrated former BDPS6200 owner, I next tested out a 2 hour Revain instant video to make sure this unit wasn't crashing, crashing and flooding my home network with traffic. Success! No freezing of video services. I am very happy with this new player.
