The fact that the bowls slide off the hangers comes in handy for refilling, cleaning etc. However, I did find that the entire block was knocked off the drawer more than once (I hadn't knocked any bowl off the hanger). as another reviewer noted). I also found after buying four bowls that some of them hung more evenly/horizontally than others and it didn't match up from bowl to bowl. I'm planning on trying to bend them back to horizontal (they were manufactured inconsistently - it's not damage in transit or anything) - just not sure if I need to do that. I don't think it's a drawer difference as all four hang at different angles in the same spot. As a side note - I also noticed that the cat on the outside of the drawer can easily reach and rip things out of it. because now it is convenient to hang food stationary on the grate. FYI if you have animals both in and out of the cage and for some reason are trying to keep them from eating each other.
