10/03/12 - update. Had to downgrade to 3 stars. Broke after a year of regular use. Complete crap. ---------------------------------------------- - --- --------------------- -------------------- - ---- I have mine Gifted to friend three years ago (almost a day, it was a Valentine's Day gift) and it's still going great! It was an amazing gift idea and a handy tool to have around the house. Now we live together and I think I use it more than he does. I can't tell you how many bottles this thing has opened over the years. It shows no signs of wear or slowdown. The thing really does hold a charge, we haven't plugged it in for months and still use it to open wine bottles. I no longer have broken corks or bits of cork floating in my wine glass! Also, I don't have to struggle to pull the cork out of wine bottles like I did when using a traditional corkscrew or corkscrew. It's certainly a bit more expensive than some manual wine bottle openers, but it's durable! Do yourself a favor and buy a good electric wine bottle opener. I'm so glad I bought it!
