These things can do anything!
For my chemistry hobby projects, this was a perfect example of how archaic traditional glass liquid thermometers should be viewed. Teflon wrapped or custom made glass envelopes, they respond quickly and very accurately to the measurement of vapor in distillation or liquid in solution. And the cord is long enough that I can easily attach it to my clamped digital display and remove the bottle and put it anywhere.
