Remember: Hondas use a special type of power steering fluid. Do not use liquids. Look for Honda specific fluid. Every time I moved my car I would see some kind of leak on the floor. Too lazy to jack up the car and look under it, I let it slide. I happened to be driving to a friend's house one day and noticed that the car was making a strange rattling noise when the steering wheel was turned all the way to the right. For a week or two, the same noise was heard when the steering wheel was turned all the way to the left. Based on these symptoms I thought it was power steering related. It could be that the hose was just loose, or worse, something was wrong with the rack and pinion. I popped the hood, had someone start the car, and watched the power steering pump and associated hoses as the person turned the steering wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right. I could see fluid from the pump itself flowing through the cracks. After changing the pump, I decided to flush the entire system instead of refilling what was lost. The boy was a dirty liquid. The liquid itself is white, but in my Accord the liquid was black. Long story short I used all 12 bottles and now the power steering is better than ever. Now I can turn the steering wheel with my finger thanks to the new Mag 1 fluid. Mag 1 is a significantly cheaper alternative to the official fluid and according to the label it meets the specifications. I will order Mag 1 again anytime. .
