Good light for an experienced installer

Interesting light; If you like product listing images, you will love them as they look exactly as advertised. One thing not mentioned in the list; The remote control is used to set the brightness and color temperature, but once you set it the light will revert to that setting when you turn it on and off so you can still use a wall switch (NOT a dimmer). I'm not sure if this persists after long power loss cycles, but if you hold the remote close to reset it you shouldn't have any problems. The light is very bright as advertised and I dimmed it down to about 80%. There are some installation issues, "tricks and tips" that I'll share, but overall it climbed easier than I expected at first glance - it's a job for two though. Do not overtighten the rings when assembling the lamp - they are convenient to move during installation and easy to rearrange after installation. They stay in place unless you mount them at an angle or are prone to earthquakes. 8 rings, each one separate, are connected to 8 wires coming from the power supply. This leads to tangled cables and the PSU box tends to shift, which gets in the way of installation. I solved it by connecting everything, placing the box on the base of the light (making sure there are no wires underneath), and using some zip ties to tie the wiring together. This kept everything flat and in place and made it easy to install the light to the mounting bracket. Another caveat; DO NOT use the cord clamp that comes with the flashlight to connect it to the mains power supply. These terminals do not hold the wires well, and since they may not be fully inserted into the terminals, some of the metal may be exposed. Considering the amount of wiring in the base and the all-metal power supply, this is a safety hazard. Discard the clamp and use wire nuts. Overall I am satisfied with this lamp. I took off a star as I had to sort out the cables and power supplies, but if you're experienced enough you shouldn't have any trouble installing it. If not, hire someone - this is not a project for beginners.
