Strong. The hook at the top of the pin fits into the tent leg hole at the base. Plus the peg hole for the rope is great. No movement at all on my 10x10. Planning to use these on other tents I have. These would not be for sand. No straight peg is good. I found a concave u shape pin for that on revain.
