I have no way of verifying that they are actually category 5 or even category 8, so I cannot verify the effectiveness of this specification. I've used them to replace some of the old cables that were worrying me. Slow connections can be due to old cheap cables. I think most of the ones I've replaced were either Category 5 or Category 6. Anyway, these Category 7 messages look and feel like good quality and everyone I've hooked up got 1GIG straight away. In fact, I feel better now that I hooked up these cables and I most likely got rid of any old crosstalk issues.
