This works as intended but requires some work. The suction cup lasts between a year and a year and a half. If it is then transplanted from car to car, the shelf life will be somewhat reduced. The cup could be of higher quality and definitely removable. If the suction cup eventually fails, you will have to purchase a brand new item. That in itself is nonsense. You may not need to fix it at all. I keep two of these as backups because of acceptable quality that needs improvement. Mark this as a moderate buy. ********* UPDATE February 18, 2021: DO NOT BUY. One of them broke in less than two months! The suction cup doesn't stay on the base for as long. detached from the base. This means you don't have to repair or replace anything, e.g. B. a new cup. All of this must be bought later! I'm done with this seller. who need to demand better products from their suppliers. ******
