Review on Protective MSA V-Gard Visor With Radiant Heat/Elevated Temperature Barrier For Hard Hats by Edward Taylor

I've been using the V-Gard Visor for a while now, and I've gotta say, it's a bit of a mixed bag. On the one hand, it's incredibly sturdy and provides excellent protection against radiant heat and other elevated temperature hazards. On the other hand, it can be a bit of a pain to use. First off, mounting the visor onto your hard hat isn't exactly a walk in the park. It takes some tinkering to get it to fit properly, and even then it can be a little wobbly. Once you've got it on, though, it feels pretty secure. The second issue is that the visor can make it a little tricky to see what you're doing. It's not terrible, but there's definitely a noticeable amount of glare and distortion. If you're doing something that requires a lot of precision, I could see this being a real problem. All in all, I'd say that the V-Gard Visor is a good product, but not a great one. It definitely does what it's supposed to do, but the downsides make it hard to love.
