This little tool is amazing! We live in Hawaii and my favorite fruit is pineapple. so we eat LOTS of it. I used to always use pineapple seeds. The ones you turn and she slices and puts the pineapple in and removes the core, but the cores are never perfectly straight and the pineapple comes out thicker than the tool. So you get pieces with a lot of core and end up wasting a lot of meat. I would still slice open the pineapple to trim off any excess material that the tool missed. But THIS tool is PERFECT! I can cut off as little skin as possible and then remove the eyes quickly and easily! An essential item in the kitchen!
