Well done, but I wont buy any more.

About the "front / back focus". In general, I would not say that I personally have perfect autofocus on 100d on any lens. I understand that the comparison may seem incorrect, however, this lens focuses no better and no worse than, for example, a whale lens. There are also misses. During the day, I didn’t notice any problems with it at all - it focuses perfectly. No, there really are moments when autofocus is wrong, but their minimum is exactly the same as on other glasses. Well, I repeat, this only happens if there is little light. About sharpness - yes, indeed, if you compare it, for example, with the Zenitar 50mm F2.0 MC, then Canon loses a little in sharpness (my personal subjective opinion), but this is only because that Zenitar is sharp as ahem . like a razor sharp in general. I would not call pictures taken with 24mm f/2.8 blurry, etc. Yes, it could be a little bit sharper for the money, but that's all. On my old carcass, sometimes I miss the aperture ratio of this lens a little - it would be cool to have 2 or even 1.8, but I'm not ready to give as much money yet as they ask for such lenses. I'd rather buy a new camera. I think on a new camera with a good new sensor the Canon EF-S 24mm f/2.8 should be very, very good. That's why I chose it - with a reserve for the future. I shot the screen at manual focus - here you can see a small barrel and sharpness can be appreciated.

Pros
  • Dimensions, weight Build quality Decent picture
Cons
  • The barrel is really there, although it is barely noticeable Autofocus may miss a little in dim lighting Price

So far I'm happy with these two lenses. But now I found something that just gives me goosebumps Sigma 18-35mm f1.8 art, after a while I plan to sell my lenses and purchase this miracle of technology.
