This shelf has a nice sleek design and is made to work perfectly in a small space. It looks great with a wall mounted TV and beats having to have a TV stand just for the cable box. It took me less than 10 minutes to install it. The instructions were pretty easy to understand and there were not too many pieces to put together. I like that it also has a wire channel on both sides for organizing and hiding part of the power cords and HDMI cables. It was too small for what I had in mind, so I gave it to my 10yo son. He is currently using it as a very small bookshelf, but he also likes to take his books down and put his portable DVD player on it to watch movies in bed. We may end up using it for something else later on, but for now, he is happy. One thing other than the size that I do not like is how the shelf does not sit on the cushions just right. You cannot screw the shelf all of the way down because the cushions make it go up at an angle. You have to unscrew it some to make it sit flat, but then I worry that it is not screwed tight enough. In addition, I worry that with the screw being loose if it is bumped the right way, it may come off. Perhaps this was a factory defect only on mine.
