Due to the size of my bedroom the tv and everything attached to it needed to be wall mounted. I went to big box stores and looked at tv and shelf mounts only to leave disappointed. Their inventory was expensive and much lower quality than this.This is a very solid, high quality glass shelf. Very nice shelf to mount under my new 32" tv in bedroom. Love the two shelfs. They are glass but could be metal or wood and this would still be a great shelf for a small DVD player and cable box. This shelf has a nice sleek design and is made to work perfectly in a small space. It looks great with a wall mounted TV and beats having to have a TV stand just for the cable box. I was wary after reading some of the other reviews, but I am very satisfied with this shelf. I used my own toggle bolts to mount it to drywall, otherwise everything else came with the shelf. Was not difficult to understand the instructions, or to put together. There is no wobble to these shelves, perhaps using the correct size phillips screwdriver helped me tighten the screws properly. The weight factor was never a concern as I put an iPad on one shelf, and a small audio mixer on the other.

Nice mount kit. Only problem is with the screw to mount the glass top to the frame. It is too short to screw in with rubber cushions to protect the glass top. So I had to leave the rubber cushions and place the glass just on top of metal frame. Recommend a longer screw is given in the package. But for this theMonting kit is nice

The Ematic wall mount shelf is great. It mounts to the wall quickly and everything is pretty much self-explanatory. The wall mount hides cables well and allows you to add more cables later (though, there isn't a lot of space for cables). First of all, the most helpful review is totally accurate, these shelves are about an inch smaller than advertised in each direction, which cuts about 25 square inches off each shelf total. Additionally, the concept of "cord management" is a joke here. There are two plates along each side of the mounting bar that would allow cords to go in and out, but. why? Easy to set up, holds up well with a cable set top box and HTPC on there. Cable management is just good enough, as long as you don't try to fit soo many devices up there. The shelf is heavy duty and tempered, but I can't imagine a scenario where you'd have a failure of the glass. I even mounted mine direct to the drywall (no stud where I needed it) and it's doing just fine.
