We only use Dixie cups for a few things. Like many other people, we use it in the bathroom as a mouthwash. They are great for handing out snacks like trail mix to the little ones. And I keep some in a zippered bag in the car for when we share juice or Gatorade on the go. (Yes, we're frugal and always carry a cooler with drinks and snacks so we don't have to pay a dollar or more for water! It also saves money when we buy food on the go. Instead of buying 5 separate drinks, we just grab one Fridge for cheaper bottles of water, juice, sodas etc. Several family members have medication schedules that require us to give them 4-5 medications at a time. Sometimes that means accidentally spilling the contents of an uncapped pill bottle while waiting for that the medicines are taken and the lid is closed.so we recently started to put the medicines into a dixie cup(sometimes hospitals dispense medicines in a small cup)can close all the lids at the same time and it may take a while until someone on medication gets them in. The 3 ounce dixie cups are fine too, but we prefer d These 5 ounce mugs because they can be used for more things. However, you really can't go wrong with Dixie cups. There's a reason they've been around for so long. They are of good quality and very convenient, especially for our new use of dispensing medicines in them. Too bad we haven't thought about it for a long time.
