I have always loved the Fossil brand and my favorite watch was made by Fossil. I've been wanting to buy a new watch for a long time and found this one particularly attractive online. It has a fair price (now it costs $76). Fossil is not what I would call a bargain price, but an affordable price for the quality you get. In my experience they have always been made of good materials, have a great design, are comfortable and last a long time. The clock comes in a reusable lidded tin box with various graphic designs. The tin can be reused or repurposed depending on the artwork that adorns your particular tin. The watch is securely boxed and wrapped in foam and plastic wrap for safekeeping. The packaging makes it quite a gift, but you can't guarantee what type of artwork will adorn your tin, and it may not match the whimsical vibe of your watch as a gift. The watch itself is pretty cute, with a sturdy but soft gray leather strap, rose gold metal accents, a bold white dial, and crystal accents in place of most numbers. It still has markings on the inner circle if you need a more accurate time. It also has the date of the month on it which I really like and they included it in the design so it doesn't detract from the overall look of the watch. It's a solid weight without being heavy and feels solid - feels good in the hand! It's also waterproof enough to swim, so it's great for washing dishes, showering, splashing and many other things life throws at you. I'd still take it off when I've done most of these things, but it's nice to know that if your hand suddenly gets wet it won't be a problem. Well what I don't like. I don't even want to dislike anything about this watch, they are very beautiful! The dial is so big. This is my defect, I clearly did not understand the size given in the listing. In my defence, I have several Fossil watches and they all have the same face, I mistakenly assumed they were the same size. My watch is smaller than this, but not "fine". They also do not show pictures of this watch on someone else's wrist in the listing photos. This can also be confusing as we all have different uniforms but maybe it would give me pause before ordering. Wish it came in other sizes. I really like the watch myself, but it feels like I have half a dollar tied to my wrist. I actually have fairly large hands and wrists for a woman, so I'm surprised at how many people are happy with the size of the dial. The size of the face definitely makes it easier to read if someone is having a harder time reading the fine print, so I can see it being useful for some. It just takes up my entire wrist from top to bottom and feels disproportionately large on my wrist. I might try wearing it around the house for a while before deciding what to do with it. I like its design but just wish it was smaller.
