Inexpensive Tripod

Sometimes I find myself in a situation where I need a lamp stand but don't have much floor space to set up a traditional lamp stand. This one is suitable for this purpose as it looks more like a tripod than a stand. The tripod-like legs have 3 different positions and the locking mechanisms are metal, which is nice to see. Speaking of metal, the legs also appear to be metal. I'm not 100% sure but I think the sticks are actually plastic. It's hard to tell if they're metal, it's pretty thin metal. For the most part, it's a very solid build quality. The only thing they reduced in price is the buckles on the bars, which are cheap plastic. Other than that, they do their job and I haven't found the bars to move at all, even with the large LED light mounted on top of the bar fully extended. The top of the stand has a non-detachable 1/4 20 mount so proceed with things like lighting gear, you can even mount a camera if needed. They increased the stability of the stand with wide and thick rubber feet on the ends of the legs. It also contributes significantly to the stand not slipping even on smooth surfaces. For the price, I think this is a great non-traditional stand.
