Works great up to the stop.

My turtles loved the heat and ran into the light as soon as I turned it on, however the bulb only lasted 10 hours. Along with the lamp, you need to buy more bulbs. The "clip" that comes with the lamp is more like an airtight plug, less than 1/2 inch wide, so it will not fit a tank with a grommet for the cap. I had to use double sided tape and stick it to the side of the tank.
