Bought this fan in early May, used less than 4 months. It made a grinding/scratching noise that was so loud and annoying that it was almost unusable. A week ago I asked Lasko for help directly through their website and received no response. I suspect that based on the generally positive reviews I bought the faulty one and was fairly happy with the fan while it worked. I hope that the company will notice this review and contact me to solve my problem. Edit: While I won't claim they were quick, I will say that Lasko's customer service really fixed my situation. They sent a full replacement after I answered a few questions. The replacement fan seems to work fine, so I'm quite happy with the result. Improving the rating to 4 out of 5 because the fan is still broken and it took a decent amount of time to fix the issue.
